Long overdue - had him for econometrics in fall 2024, but hands down the best econ prof I've had! He made difficult concepts so clear and care about his students very much. His lectures are extremely clear, making difficult concepts much easier to understand, and is clearly very qualified by the depth of knowledge he demonstrates. Best professor I have taken at this school hands down. Extremely smart and it reflects on his lectures - he explains topics super clearly and makes the harder stuff doable. Prof. Josh is an exceptional lecturer, cares about students, helpful office hours. Also be prepared challenge. Exams and papers are tough, requiring a deep understanding of the material. Learned a lot and not a time-consuming class. His lectures could drag at times, but his slides include everything we needed to know for the test and he spent decent time in class going over practice examples and applying theory to the real world. I had him for both Microtheory and Econometrics. He is by far a top three professor at Northeastern - insanely intelligent, helpful, and personable. I went to office hours a lot the last two years and he is always willing to explain. If you put in the effort you can do well. Best economic professor I've had so far at this school. Willing to help you with the difficult homework to get you a good grade. Great lectures and answers any questions efficiently. Relatively hard tests but have a good curve. AMAZING PROFESSOR! This class was incredibly difficult, and you really had to work for a good grade, but he was always available to help in office hours.
