He seemed like a great guy. However, his exams were off the charts. He would add questions that was not taught in the material. I am pretty sure some of his questions were made by AI as well... Apart from that he is a great person. He teaches semi-well but a lot of the content in this class can be self-taught which is crazyfina3301 2025-05-15 21:27:15 +0000 UTC
He's really nice and is passionate about what he teaches. Don't listen to other people saying this class is hard, I spent an average of 30 min a week outside of class on it. As long as you go to class and pay attention you will get a good grade, especially because he curves at the end.FINA2201 2022-05-07 03:11:30 +0000 UTC
Practice exams are much more difficult than the actual exams, so many group projects, doesn't take attendance - he's a good professor but he just doesn't understand the impact of low gradesfina3301 2025-04-28 20:34:45 +0000 UTC
He purposely makes the class hard and said "GPA should not be a priority, want students to lose the fear of failure so exams will be hard." He Includes content not covered in class and does not provide feedback for exams. The class average is in the 70s. Smart professor but don't take him if you want to do well. A lot of students dropped too.FINA2201 2022-05-06 17:32:33 +0000 UTC
Kandarp is a great professor and knows a lot about corporate finance. His lectures are good and he does use real world examples. Exams really challenge you and are very difficult. Final exam was extremely conceptual and tested your understanding of what was taught in class.fina3301 2025-04-25 14:36:25 +0000 UTC
I definitely learned a lot in this class, especially as someone that isn't super interested in finance. Prof Srinivasan was great at making the material understandable and went at a good pace for the entire class. The tests were hard, which is the only thing bringing down my rating, but he curves the class average to a B+ to offset it.FINA2201 2022-05-06 17:28:01 +0000 UTC
Professor Kandarp is extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. His lectures can be long but are engaging and teach the material well (10-minute breaks in the class period also help). Beware his tests are very difficult, but fairly curved in the end.fina3301 2025-04-19 03:08:05 +0000 UTC
He is a great professor because he explains complex concepts quite well. However, do not expect an easy A in this class. He will make you work a lot as he makes the grading scale harder and his tests are also more difficult compared to other professors.FINA2201 2022-05-05 01:01:55 +0000 UTC
Prof Srinivasan is very knowledgable and a very good lecturer. He is very good at bringing real-life examples in his lectures. However, his exams are very hard and require out-of-the-box thinking, which is not existent in the connect assignments or the practice exams. The midterm was way harder than the practice exam.fina3301 2025-04-09 18:35:26 +0000 UTC
This was the hardest class. I do think the professor was not terrible and he was caring if you needed extra help. BUT the lectures were so long, boring, and hard to follow. Each class was a 50 slide powerpoint, impossible to write everything down and he does not upload the powerpoints till the end of the week=not helpful. Exams were IMPOSSIBLE!FINA2201 2022-05-04 20:19:46 +0000 UTC
Professor Srinivasan was a great teacher. The tests are based on lecture material; however, textbook insights and the in-chapter problems are extremely helpful if you want to excel. He cares about his students and does his best to help them succeed. His focus is on learning. If you leave this class without learning...it's on you.fina3301 2024-05-07 16:11:48 +0000 UTC
Finance is tough especially when you're first getting into it. Professor Srinivasan does a really great job of breaking it down into digestible pieces. This course is tough, but it's going to be like that with any professor. Professor Srinivasan is really great about drawing connections and making them easier to understand.FINA2201 2022-04-27 15:50:20 +0000 UTC
Kandarp is super knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his expertise with his students. His exams are quite difficult but fairly curved. Fairly lecture-heavy but very engaging. Be prepared to work on multiple group projects throughout the semester.fina3301 2024-04-30 17:56:33 +0000 UTC
If you don't attend classes and don't stay updated with the class concepts, he isn't the guy for you but if you're genuinely interested in finance, trust me he's going to make the subject so much more interesting for you. Tests are exactly the concepts he teaches in class except the last 2 questions. He also curves to a B+.FINA2201 2022-04-22 06:07:57 +0000 UTC
Great professor! class time is always organized and he knows his stuff. The group projects are a little annoying as there's 4 of them and if you have a bad group you need to stick with them for the whole semester. Exams are tough but if you put the work in, they're not impossible. Always available for questions and course material was challenging.fina3301 2024-04-29 20:10:10 +0000 UTC
