terrible class, it's primarily based on R coding and the examples from the slides are NOTHING like the weekly assignments. They do provide a lot of office hours help and both the midterm and final were taken online.PHTH2210 2025-04-24 16:44:51 +0000 UTC
I never really went to the lectures, it covers the basics of statistics and they take right off the slides that they post on Canvas. There are 1 weekly homework assignment each week along with 1 midterm and 1 final. Which the tests were online and they let us take them from wherever. All R code you can just look up how to do it. Easy A.PHTH2210 2025-04-10 18:52:06 +0000 UTC
Smith is awesome but this class is dry if you already knows basic statistics. Some of the R information was useful. Even if you aren't code inclined, all the slides (posted on canvas) have examples of exactly what you need to do for the weekly assignments, and you can copy paste and edit them to answer the questions. Exams were take homePHTH2210 2025-04-06 18:30:33 +0000 UTC
be warned this is a CODING course for HEALTH science students... however midterm and final were both online and taken from home. besides that it was just weekly coding homework that we were allowed to use chatgpt to do. attendance isnt mandatory so most people didnt go to class tbh as exams were online. louisa was kind but lectures were confusing.PHTH2210 2024-12-05 01:11:42 +0000 UTC
Professor Smith is 1 of 2 professors for this course. The class was held in Blackman Auditorium, making it difficult for the professor to interact with students/teach effectively. The notes didn't make sense. She tried her best and was sometimes able to expand on the slides, but the concepts were difficult/hard to teach to such a large lecture.PHTH2210 2024-12-04 20:27:27 +0000 UTC
