Professor Goodwin wants his students to succeed and helps us out whenever he can. That being said this class is VERY writing intensive, with 10 reflection papers and a final paper. Matthew Goodwin is a great guy. It's clear that he respects and cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He makes himself available outside of class to respond to emails and meet one-on-one with students. Goodwin straight up said he was not qualified to teach this course during one of our classes. Additionally, the "lectures" were really an hour and fifteen minutes of him having a class wide conversation about current events and what was happening for the environment. Incredible guy. He really knows what he is talking about, more so that any other professor I've ever had at Northeastern. I walked out of class every day knowing more than I did going in.
