I really enjoyed Prof. Nabil's class, so much that I enrolled in another course he teaches. His teaching style combines lectures with hands-on practice, which makes the material very easy to understand. He is also understanding and fair with grading.BINF6310 2026-01-22 23:41:07 +0000 UTC
Professor Atallah is one of the best instructors I've ever had. He has a rare ability to turn complex topics into clear, engaging stories that actually make sense, rather than material you're forced to memorize. His class never felt overwhelming, because the teaching was thoughtful, structured, and genuinely focused on student learning.BINF6310 2025-12-24 06:14:28 +0000 UTC

Nabil's class was not just smart, it was current, and bioinformatics was accessible, human and relevant. I felt intellectually alive, safe to ask questions and show up as my full self. More of this in STEM, please.BINF6310 2025-07-16 12:47:36 +0000 UTC
As a software developer, Dr Nabil didn't just teach tools but thinking patterns. I learned how to design for high-stakes production environments, and how to integrate automation from the very beginning. I moved beyond simply writing functional code and I began thinking in terms of architecture, systems, and clean, elegant engineering practices.BINF6310 2025-06-23 10:54:50 +0000 UTC
I'm beyond grateful to Professor Nabil Atallah. Every piece of advice he gave me stayed with me, and during a highly competitive job interview, his exact words guided my answers. I got the job at a top bioinformatics company, and HR told me it was because of how I answered. I couldn't have done it without his mentorship! Best Professor ever!BINF6310 2025-05-06 18:43:32 +0000 UTC
He is a thoughtful and exceptional professor, clearly passionate about Bioinformatics and made the course material very interesting. He consistently goes the extra mile to help students understand complex material and creates a supportive learning environment. If I get the chance, I'm definitely signing up for more of his classes!BINF6310 2025-04-30 02:22:59 +0000 UTC
Hi I usually don't write comments, but I have to make an exception. Dr. Nabil Atallah class is sharp, engaging, and makes Bioinformatics easy and exciting. Tbh I never thought I'd enjoy it this much. I hope to take another course with him.BINF6310 2025-04-18 15:56:13 +0000 UTC
I am taking currently his course on Computational Methods in Bioinformatics (BINF6310). Professor Nabil Atallah brings passion and expertise to his teaching. The class is enjoyable and fun, making challenging subjects more approachable and interesting. I highly recommend.BINF6310 2025-02-02 12:09:50 +0000 UTC
Nabil is one of the best professors I have had the pleasure of learning under. He is knowledgable, understanding, and more than happy to help when asked. I had him for both 6310 and 6420 (I'm not sure if he's still teaching them) but there is a reason I took 2 classes with him he makes concepts feel easier to grasp without it feeling overwhelming.BINF6310 2025-01-24 05:11:47 +0000 UTC
An outstanding professor! Incredibly knowledgeable and always eager to support and guide students.BINF6310 2025-01-03 13:00:40 +0000 UTC
Absolutely incredible teaching! The way Dr Atallah break down complex topics into easily understandable pieces is truly impressive. Great passion for the subject shines through, and it's clear how much you care about your students' success. Every lesson feels engaging and informative.BINF6310 2025-01-03 12:30:04 +0000 UTC
Most of the homework are discussion posts and discovery-related homework. He does NOT teach these components during the lecture. You will spend time learning how to code to do homework. The lecture material is undergrad biology that could be taught inBINF6310 2024-12-13 01:31:52 +0000 UTC
He is kind and wants the students to succeed. He is disorganized and did not provide a syllabus so we did not know when assignments were due. This was made even worse when assignments were posted online without due dates. He would often go off topic in lecture making it hard to pay attention. Group projects are hard but we taught ourselves a lot.BINF6310 2024-12-05 17:54:04 +0000 UTC
