Professor Dave is very passionate about the topics she teaches in class and explains them well. There are three exams, which are based on the HW assignments and notes, and cheats sheets are allowed for all exams. Lectures were very confusing. Not content wise, but just the way she explained it. Theres no online materials so you have to either be at all lectures or ask classmates for notes. The good thing is that she allows cheat sheets for every test AND theres no final so I found her class especially easy to get a good grade in. She gives you a cheat sheet, and if you copy the lectures onto the test from there, then you'll get 100%. It feels wrong but that's what she wants you to do. Besides that, there are no supplemental materials outside of class, so you gotta go or you'll be lost. In my opinion Professor Dave was very informative and taught the course with enthusiasm, if you went to class and paid attention it was VERY EASY to get a good grade, it was one of the easiest courses I have taken in college. An amazing good econ professor. She write it all out on the board before class starts but her writing is very small. Her homework is all based on the content she writes up and are relatively easy(though all have to be physical copy). Professor Dave's teaching method is interesting to say the least. She comes to class everyday with only a few markers and a diet coke. If you attend the lectures, this class is very easy. Professor Dave was horrible all around. Her lectures are extremely boring. Notes aren't posted online yet; she writes like chicken scratch. The time limits for tests are terrible. Grading isn't clear until after you do assignments. Her TA's are useless and don't know the material. She isn't accessible outside of class. You must come to class and take good notes, if you do this you will get a good grade. Her tests come straight from her lectures and she does not try to trick students. Your grade is based on 2 things: the 3 tests and a bunch of different hws which you work on with a group you choose. She is very passionate and clear on what she talks about. Barely any homework, and they were all group assignments. Tests come directly from the lectures, and she lets you use a cheat sheet. I personally did really well in her microeconomics class (econ1116). BUT, she is a very condescending and unprofessional teacher who doesn't give clear examples and sets grades for exams depending on her mood and whether or not she likes the student. Rude professor, doesn't care for students success, she think she is god, unfair grading, and unfriendly. I don't think she truly understands the subject herself, but she thinks she does. The course is super easy, but if you want to learn Macroeconomics, I would recommend teaching it yourself if you take Neha Dave. I really like Ms. Neha Dave as she's inspirational and lectures fairly well. Quite a few people I know are doing well in her class including me. During my 1st and 2nd exams, I got an A (with my 2nd exam getting full points). I'd advise future students to pay attention & go early to take notes. Dave was just alright. She didn't assign most Homeworks and discussions from the syllabus. So, the grade was based almost entirely on 3 non-cumulative tests (no final) and an end-of-semester discussion. The tests aren't hard, especially with the cheat sheet she allows.
