You should only consider taking him if you have taken ECON in high-school. It was relatively easy for me cuz i had taken ECON but i could see how he was simply an awful teacher. He basically reads off the powerpoint slides and throws a couple of examples here and there. Tests are 20 multiple-choice, extremely difficult. He curves the grade.ECON1116 2014-10-07 14:59:21 +0000 UTC
great class, great professor. learned a lot. its really straightforward if you go to class go to recitation take notes pay attention etc, its really not that hard. kids complain when they dont go to class or dont pay attention and wonder why theyre failingECON1116 2014-04-10 18:13:15 +0000 UTC
WORST TEACHER EVER. Do not take this class. DO NOT. Drop this class immediately. As someone stated before, his test averages are a 50 without curve. I dropped because I was failing and didn't trust him to pass me after the curve. Boring, unhelpful, didn't learn anything. Recitations are mandatory attendance with pop quizzes every week.ECON1116 2014-04-10 10:59:53 +0000 UTC
By far the worst teacher you will EVER have in college drop at all costsECON1116 2014-03-25 14:26:47 +0000 UTC
His tests are insane. Class median is 50 and mean is 51 without curve... We have a big lecture with at least 100-200 people.ECON1116 2014-02-26 20:31:55 +0000 UTC

Prof. Jackson is a very nice guy. His lectures are very in-depth and thoroughly cover the course material. Sure his exams require you to think, but they're hardly impossible and you can achieve good grades if you're willing to put in the work.ECON1116 2013-09-22 19:56:14 +0000 UTC
He loves his matterial and seems friendly, but you're guaranteed to NOT do well in this class unless you have an innate knowledge of econ. You can't expect to show up, learn the information and get an A. You might get a B-/C+ if you put 110% into this course. Take someone else. ESPECIALLY if you had no prior econ experience. His tests are insane.ECON1116 2013-03-25 16:46:04 +0000 UTC
He's super interested in the material, but he is such a harsh grader! Going in to office hours can help you understand the basic material, but all of his tests were like puzzles based on the material. You learn a lot, but your GPA may suffer!ECON1116 2013-03-18 15:16:22 +0000 UTC
