Grace McKrell was the best TA, but you rarely see Patricia Hampf. She would pop in when there were problems with materials, but the lab is entirely taught by TAs. Difficult class, but I learned a lot.BIOL2218 2026-01-13 17:23:37 +0000 UTC
This 1 credit lab is insane. Weekly quizzes are meant to trick you, mostly open response aside from practicals. Harder than lecture itself, content does not align so you have to teach it to yourself before you even learned it in lecture. TAs are not knowledgable. The quizzes are "anything is fair game" material wise. 20x more studying than lecture.BIOL1118 2025-12-11 19:10:28 +0000 UTC
Way too much content each week for a full semester course. Most of it is just busy workBIO1700 2024-02-12 01:15:49 +0000 UTC
Asynchronous class I took to lighten the load of my semester while maintaining full time status, a great choice for me and very interesting material! Professor Hampf made due dates very clear, and I really enjoyed her recorded lectures. She posted these lectures weekly, with a quiz at the end of each week, and a group project at the end of sem.BIOL1147 2023-11-28 20:46:00 +0000 UTC
Patricia Hampf is the best prof. that I ever had. She provides discussion board every week, weekly quizzes based on each chapters and those weekly quiz are great. It helped me to study for lecture exam. She also cares about the students who's not doing well and she is very helpful outside of classroom.BIO1600 2016-12-19 12:10:21 +0000 UTC
She is awesome. Very nice and organized. She makes A&P more interesting to learn. Test is fair, not so hard but you still need to studyBIO2611 2015-12-14 20:13:49 +0000 UTC
I really liked this class. Prof. Hampf is a good teacher and her tests are very fair. She's approachable and puts a lot of work into the class materials. For Anatomy and Physiology you need to have *a* text book, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the exact one in the syllabus, as she mostly tests off the lecture slides.2610 2013-07-26 11:19:22 +0000 UTC
A&P is hard and you have to put in a LOT of effort. I loved my TA, but the amount of material &details you're expected to remember in a week is insane. Quizzes are hard and she looks very specific answers and wording. Go to office hours, even if its just to make sure you understand everything and know what will be on the quiz that week. Good luckBIOL2218 2025-12-21 16:33:53 +0000 UTC
She was able to teach a very hard and specific topic with clear guidelines. Whenever a student had a question, she made sure to take her time and answer it to the fullest extend. There is a lot of material for the class but she somehow made learning all of it easy and fun.BIOL1118 2020-07-04 22:33:40 +0000 UTC
She is awesome professor. I got A. Listen to online lecture, study through lecture, quiz comes from (online). Weekly discussion board and quiz helps to boost your grade. Weekly quiz preps you to take the exam. I recommend anyone to take her class.BIO1700 2017-02-28 10:55:14 +0000 UTC
As usual you never see the lab professor, not quite sure what we are paying them to do. The rules for this lab are RIDICULOUS. You have 1 drop (quizzes are HARD) and you could be on your deathbed and still expected to come. This rule was so strict people had to get safety escorts because they came to lab sick and couldn't get home on their ownBIOL2218 2025-12-17 14:58:54 +0000 UTC
By far one of the best professors I have ever had. She makes a difficult class bearable and even fun. Signing up for her class next year!BIOL1118 2018-11-14 21:55:25 +0000 UTC
Loved Anatomy , but quizzes every week was a lot of memorizing. failed every quiz , so have retake it.BIOL2218 2025-12-10 00:40:03 +0000 UTC
She's awesome! Took over my A&P1 lab halfway through the semester when our TA left and it was great- I was expecting chaos bc of the abrupt switch but she was one of the best teachers I've ever had. Made a difficult class bearable.BIOL1118 2017-04-19 20:37:24 +0000 UTC
Anatomy lab is pretty straightforward but a lot of work. Every week the class does a test, lab, homework, and pre-lab quiz. There is a LOT of content for the weekly quiz but Dr Hampf does a clear job explaining the content in the weekly videos and lectures available on Canvas. Be prepared to put in a lot of effort if you want to do well.BIOL2218 2023-11-29 17:29:20 +0000 UTC
