confuses herself and can not teach- will mess up a problem, get flustered, and move on. will then grade you harshly based on her incorrect teaching. take it over the summer its worth it.CHEM2321 2025-11-23 20:59:27 +0000 UTC
just avoid pam. take whatever other professor you can because i promise they're much betterCHEM2331 2025-03-01 05:37:29 +0000 UTC
Do WHATEVER it takes to avoid Pam. Requires you to use her half-written textbook, which manages to INHIBIT learning due to the vast number of typos/mistakes. Exams don't reflect what is learned in class, making them nearly impossible to prepare for. Wouldn't even let a student retake an exam that he missed due to being HOSPITALIZED. Run. Just run.CHEM1151 2017-12-14 23:23:27 +0000 UTC
Pam is a weird teacher. she tries to be nice but she's not. she doesn't explain things very well. she doesn't give partial credit on problems. sometimes she gives make-up quizzes because the class average is REALLY LOW (F)and they are much harder than the regular quizzes. the ONLY good thing is that she posts her lectures online.CHM151 2009-04-09 11:09:06 +0000 UTC
Pam is a cool professor. She gives out prizes and stuff during lecture which. The class is pretty easy and as long as you do the homework you are fine.CHMU151 2007-12-18 19:10:53 +0000 UTC

This class is horrible. The majority of people end up dropping it. It is unecessary hassle. The prof tries to be nice, but she is VERY kooky and weird. So be wear. She doesnt give much extra crdit or at all. She does not curve either.CHEM1221 2003-05-21 16:53:04 +0000 UTC
THe course itself is not the most challenging, but, goddamn it, she tried to make it so. Her class lectures and examples are very unhelpful, and the lab is a ****. Just read the book, dont listen to her.ANALCHEM 2003-04-10 14:41:03 +0000 UTC
Good person, horrible teacher. Made what is supposed to be an 'easier' chem class into a difficult one. Weird 5pm deadlines:( Rambles a lot In lectures, doesn't help that the class is at 8am. Often includes blank tables on exams expecting you to be able to 'use your gut' to figure out what to put in them. nice, but only if your on her good sideCHEM2321 2024-12-05 05:35:43 +0000 UTC
I never thought a professor could be bad enough to make my chosen field of study boring and miserable for me, but here we are! Avoid if possible, this class is so much work and it's preventing me from enjoying all of my other classes.CHEM2331 2017-02-02 08:23:28 +0000 UTC
Pam is nice some days and mean other days. She takes lots of points off in tests. Ridiculously unreasonable final exam . Only plus side is having one exam dropped.CHEM1151 2016-12-20 14:37:43 +0000 UTC
PAM is extremely enthusiastic and tries to make the class fun with prizes and cool demonstrations. If you already understand chemistry and don't really need to be taking it, you'll love her class. If you need things explained clearly, you may struggle. Her lectures are disorganized and don't necessarily help you do the homework or pass the quizzes.CHM151 2007-11-18 19:18:34 +0000 UTC
PAM is awesome. She's always smiling, uses lots of positive reinforcement and its very willing to explain anything you need to know. Class isn't very hard and she is a very reasonable grader. =]CHMU151 2007-11-16 15:48:40 +0000 UTC
PAM is actually a very well educated and reasonable teacher. This class might seem challenging since it is a freshman class, and freshman aren't used to a real college course. Take the time to do the homework and quizes and you'll get a decent grade.CHM1221 2003-05-29 18:33:13 +0000 UTC
I think the class would not be as bad if the lab was more manageable/if there was a different TA. Homework was graded based on completion so there is at least 10% of your grade that should be 100, and homework was similar to the tests/expected which is appreciated.CHEM2321 2024-11-18 23:39:39 +0000 UTC
