Aggarwal made me want to go to an 8am class. His lecture style is engaging and he is clearly a master at what he teaches. His class is not easy but if you attend his lectures (which are not mandatory) you will be fine. He is so passionate about the subject and I learned a lot about finance from this course. You won't know your final grade in the course until the end, the curves are approximated so you may have a rough idea but will not have a true estimate until the end. I have never found a professor who cares as much about the subject as he does and is as passionate as he is. wifi issues during the final which many people will rate him poorly for, but it was not his fault, and these people are just upset they did poorly on the final and trying to find an excuse. He has good lectures and does not post class notes. The exams on all online and open note on the hw platform, however there is zero partial credit. Exams are weighted heavy. Great guy who has a ton of industry knowledge, the lectures can get insanely boring and the class is heavily graded on a curve. Open book open note but the tests are aids. Excellent professor. One of the most engaging classes I have taken at Northeastern. It was helpful that the students in my class were also excellent and asked questions frequently. Class material is straightforward and requires critical thinking. Teaches you more than just the fundamentals of finance. There are very few grades and the class is entirely lectures however he is very knowledgeable and overall a good teacher. Always willing to answer questions and he is upfront about what he expects.
