Great professor! Really understanding guy and super flexible when it comes to out-of-class hours. Lectures are engaging and instructions are clear, provided a lot of practice material. Professor Piao was amazing for Macro during Summer 1. Ton of work; however, he gave time to do so. Unlimited attempts on most of the Macmillan assignments. Lots of mini projects and sometimes the peer reviews would not pop up until last minute, likely due to errors from Canvas. I took econ 2316 with him before and econ4691 information economics and game theory this semester but it was not on the list. Professor Piao was very helpful during office hours and was extremely generous on grading exams. Like, he only took 1 point out of 5 even you got more than half of your answers wrong. Professor Piao is a great guy who clearly cares deeply about his work. The amount of effort he puts in his slideshows are crazy and his lectures are straightforward and easy to follow. Professor Piao is honestly a really kind guy. I've never made a review on here before but he's definitely my favorite professor I've had so far and I hope I can take another class with him.
