had him for econ online over the summer. very engaging course for it being asynchronous.ECON1116 2026-01-13 21:09:32 +0000 UTC
Prof Roy is great for any class. He is very clear on what will be on the exam so you don't waste precious study time. The lectures are interesting, attendance is required but it really isn't hard to show up to class. 3 exams + a final but that means everything is weighted a little less. You'll be pleased with a semester with Roy.ECON2316 2025-12-17 02:06:07 +0000 UTC
Prof. Roy is awesome. His econometrics lectures were more than bearable at 8am, he was a very fair grader, and there wasn't a ton of homework. Most of the course & grade is based around a research paper that is spread throughout the semester. If you end up with Roy, you will be happy. He knows his stuff.ECON2560 2025-12-17 02:02:58 +0000 UTC
Took for Summer 2. Really funny and passionate guy, wish I was a business major just so I could take more classes with him. AI projects were kinda weird but I like how he had us apply our thinking elsewhere. absolutely love this dude!ECON1116 2025-12-11 16:48:49 +0000 UTC
I'd absolutely take another class from this professor and I wish I had him in-person. The lectures were entertaining and thorough; it's also very feasible to get a good grade.ECON1116 2025-08-21 18:21:40 +0000 UTC
Had Roy in-person for Microecon Theory. He was a great professor - very enthusiastic about the material he was teaching, plus he was hilarious. Easy to reach outside of class and fair grader. Overall one of the best professors I've had at Northeastern.ECON1116 2025-04-21 20:40:27 +0000 UTC
Took this class online for summer 2. Great experience and he had very interesting lectures even for an asynchronous course! I'm sure in person he would be even better. Nice guy cares a lot about his students, would take again!ECON1116 2024-08-20 16:24:53 +0000 UTC
Roy was the best. Took this as an asynchronous summer course. There are a lot of assignments to stay on top of, but he explains everything in lectures so well, better than most econ professors I have had at NEU. Take him if you can!!ECON1116 2024-08-20 01:04:29 +0000 UTC
I took online. Canvas was very organized. Work is posted weekly and is manageable. He's understanding and flexible. His projects use ChatGPT which was very interesting. His projects consist interdisciplinary thinking and connects econ with social justice, AI/tech, ethics, etc. I like how he thinks out of the box and branches out beyond economics.ECON1116 2024-08-14 18:52:30 +0000 UTC
