I stopped going to class because she read verbatim from the powerpoints she made (available to download online), of which half of the slides were occupied by pictures of galaxies and other things that you can just as easily find on google images. Worst professor I have had. She couldn't figure out how to use the projector that was installed in the room, so she brought her own that was impossibly small. I stopped going to class because I could learn more just looking at her power point presentation online. CANNOT UNDERSTAND ONE THING SHE SAYS! She continually shows pictures of her daughter for no reason. 150 people show up to class on test days, 15 people on every other day. Her class is like one long joke without a structured point. One of the most awkward academic experiences I've had in my career; students openly laugh and mock her and she seems to either put up with it or not understand it's true intent. Intro to Astronomy was a joke. She did not teach it like an intro class at all! Slideshows were at least 80 slides each which were filled with completely useless information. Worst professor at Northeastern. She has no idea how to teach a class, speeds through the notes, and most of the stuff on exams isn't stuff covered in class. I've made study guides with text copy/pasted from the slides (exams are open note/open book), and still fail the tests. Everybody else fails too, so she scales them, but it's awful. Brilliant woman, abysmal teacher. Will throw up a powerpoint loaded with extremely complex information that will go unexplained although never tested on and read verbatim through it. Class is just a formality, just use blackboard. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. There can be no worse experience than this. Don't take this class. The class average is a 44%. Of course, its all scaled, so that 44 is a B+, but the class itself is terrible.
