Mid-level difficulty course with clear grading criteria. Overall good professor.EEMB2610 2025-12-24 04:39:29 +0000 UTC
I like Dr. Saha's teaching style, includes lots of class activities and discussions. The course was well designed, instructions were clear, assignments were well balanced, and exams were directly from the lectures. He is a decent professor, provided feedback, and was available outside the class beyond the office hours. Will take his course again!ENVR5800 2025-12-12 17:42:37 +0000 UTC
Dr. Saha is one of the best teachers I ever had. I took his Sustainable Development class in Summer I. Lectures were not monotonous. The content is timely and engaging, he may have updated the course materials, as it doesn't match some earlier reviews. He is very knowledgeable and was always accessible outside class. I would strongly recommend him.ENVR2515 2025-06-22 15:24:22 +0000 UTC
The topic of the class is genuinely interesting, but the way professor Saha designs and creates his lectures makes it super not engaging. Lectures are very redundant and hard to understand, his test questions are very poorly written setting students up to do bad. Only take if you have to and good luck, you will need it.ENVR-3150 2024-11-24 20:43:28 +0000 UTC
Average difficulty class. Professor is friendly and clearly has a lot of passion for the topic, lectures are weaker when giving mechanistic descriptions of systems. Tests often examine small details, and must be studied for with this knowledge, and rely on a moderate amount of memorization.EEMB2610 2025-12-16 20:45:03 +0000 UTC
Professor is what everyone said here. I was unfortunate enough to have to take him for two semesters and he did not improve at all. I read his trace comments and read ratemyprofessor, and they are all the same. Tests are very disorganized MCQ that he does NOT PROVIDE A STUDY GUIDE FOR. Questions are based on what he said and not what was studied.ENVR5800 2025-04-15 14:23:08 +0000 UTC
I don't get the hate, I liked his class. He is very knowledgable and hosted engaging lectures. The only thing that I didn't like is how few grades there are.ENVR2515 2025-06-15 22:24:44 +0000 UTC
lectures rarely provide any new knowledge to class and lectures the whole class, but exam questions ask about specific things from the lectures that you better be prepared to listen, show up to class so you can get all the easy points from the small writing assignments in class, little feedback or reasoning was given for grades on pres and paperENVR-3150 2024-04-30 22:56:44 +0000 UTC
Overall good professor. Lectures with videos and worksheets were really engaging. The herbarium and 3D model assignments were interesting. He asks for participation. Available outside class for help. I will take his course again.EEMB2610 2025-12-07 03:39:35 +0000 UTC
I am a student taking his class this sem and I am also shocked by having to make up for wellness days. If his classes are not required DO NOT TAKE. It is absurd for someone to force students to make up for wellness days, did he forget to read the university policy on wellness days? He is the opposite of an understanding and accommodating professorENVR5800 2025-04-08 14:48:56 +0000 UTC
Makes attendance mandatory, very unaccommodating with anything. Class has a 2500 word paper with a required 30 minimum sources -_- that MUST be peer reviewed. Exams have no structure and are just what he said in the lecture- MCQ. No study guide available, so good luck trying to read 10 slide decks with 30 slides in each of them.ENVR2515 2025-05-15 15:52:46 +0000 UTC
This class has the potential to be interesting, but Prof. Saha just isn't the person for it. He just reads off the slides and occasionally adds "group work" which is just googling something. 2 exams are difficult bc he asks very obscure questions. Large partner writing assignment is 30% of grade. Overall a boring slog of a class bc of professor.ENVR-3150 2024-04-27 23:11:42 +0000 UTC
I really wanted to like this class, but the teaching made it difficult. The lectures were long, monotonous, and convoluted. Tests were full memorization based on lecture material but easy to study for and questions were predictable. He treated students fairly for their behavior and was forgiving and understanding of mistakes.EEMB2610 2024-12-24 17:25:53 +0000 UTC
Will test on very weird and irrelevant specific things. If you have any other option, please take another professor.ENVR5800 2025-03-18 21:49:39 +0000 UTC
This class was repetitive and relatively uninteresting. The same 17 topics are covered twice and that is the entirety of the course content. There is no textbook, the lectures drag on, there is a major group research paper that you need to start early because it requires A TON of reading. 1 final, 1 midterm, 1 group paper, 1 group presentation.ENVR2515 2025-04-26 18:55:05 +0000 UTC
