The professor knows his material. A little disorganized but super lenient. I almost didn't take his class because of these reviews. I definitely recommend looking at the slides before class.CHEM2110 2025-11-18 03:47:44 +0000 UTC
Teacher would sometimes not show up to class without notifying the class if he would be late or absent. The course material taught did not reflect the school syllabus and was all over the place. Lectures did not follow labs. Final exam was challenging and did not align with what he said would be on it. He does curve final grades which is a bonus.CHEM1101 2023-01-09 17:16:30 +0000 UTC
he is the very nice teacher I took 2 classes with him. one of the best teacher so farCHM2010 2021-04-29 18:36:55 +0000 UTC
The man does what he wants. Tough lectures and exams but easy grader- he wants you to pass. He doesn't care for bs. Lectures can drag occasionally but just write the notes down, and if you can do the practice problems from his worksheets and the textbook, you're pretty much set.CHEM2313 2021-02-19 03:54:28 +0000 UTC
His lectures confused me more than they helped me. I gave up on the lectures and ended up learning from the textbook. He was not clear about what topics were on the exams, so I was never sure what concepts I needed to study. If you can avoid, do not take Kuga for organic chem.CHEM2311 2021-01-17 19:40:41 +0000 UTC
Kuga is the best teacher for organic chemistry . makes easy to learnCHM2110 2019-12-18 16:06:45 +0000 UTC
Kuga is the man. Like a lot of other pre-med students I was dreading Organic Chem I & II. But then I register for the class and Kuga sends me this email telling me that Orgo is gonna be easy as pie. Wishful thinking right? It's Not! Kuga is clear and concise in his explanations of difficult orgo concepts. I got an A in both Orgo 1 & II!CHEM2314 2017-08-22 13:23:04 +0000 UTC
While it took a lot of work to master the material, his tests were more than fair and he was very generous with extra credit. As long as you put in the effort outside of class and go to class every lecture, you will definitely do well.30480CHEM 2015-07-11 14:34:38 +0000 UTC
I'm not sure how well I really understand Orgo after taking these classes, but I did pretty well considering. I had a hard time grasping the concepts, but Kuga gave extra credit questions occasionally and tends to boost grades a little bit. He will answer any questions you ask. Hard class but pay attention and show up and you'll be fine.ORGO1AND2 2015-04-16 16:46:03 +0000 UTC
really good teacher. At first it takes time to understand, i mean in ORGO, it is not easy . But kuga makes it easy. I had fun taking this class, i did worked my ass off but it paid off well. Thanks kuga. Will definitely take his class again.ORGO 2014-12-24 10:53:38 +0000 UTC
Dr. Sanga Kugabalasooriar is an excellent professor whom I have had the privilege of learning from. I struggled in his class; however, he is understanding the stigma about organic chemistry, and indicates what is needed to succeed in his lecture and laboratory recession. He does not guarantee an A, you work for it. He let me do extra credit workCHEM3015 2014-11-14 14:12:40 +0000 UTC
The BEST Orgo Chm prof I have encountered. He makes concepts so easy to understand, and if you are still struggling in his class, he puts in the time and effort to help you. He is the first professor I have ever seen who takes a personal responsibility over his students to learn his material. If u put in the hard work, u will get great results.CHM3021 2013-09-05 17:33:32 +0000 UTC
Dr. Kuga is a great teacher. He explains the topics extremely well and tells you what you need to understand. He also connects the material you learn to real life examples. He even jokes around with his students. He was awesome! take his class!!CHM3020 2013-08-22 21:17:28 +0000 UTC
The name is "Kuga". He is excellent. One of the best I have had. You have to work hard. Come to class well prepared and with plenty of questions and he will answer them all. He wants his students to do well.ORGO123 2009-08-16 17:47:47 +0000 UTC
