He is one of the best in Northeastern. I wanna take more classes from him but couldn't find any. If you attend his classes you will have no problem in the exam. He basically ask the same questions in the exam that he solved in the class.FINA3301 2025-04-21 16:01:43 +0000 UTC
chill professor but the exams were challenging and feedback was limited.FINA2201 2026-01-04 23:48:06 +0000 UTC
He a good teacher but doesn't give a study guide to help u prepare for the test. The concepts in this class are challenging and he does a great job explaining them with practice problems. His classes are def boring and very lecture-heavy so it's really tempting to skip, but don't because you won't learn anything and will be screwed for the tests.FINA3301 2024-12-03 22:27:36 +0000 UTC
Prof Aldatmaz is one of the best finance professors I've ever had. His lectures are clear, engaging, and make complex financial concepts much easier to understand. The class is definitely challenging, and the exams are tough, but his grading is very fair. Thanks to the curve, I ended up with a better grade than expected.FINA2201 2025-09-10 14:33:47 +0000 UTC
Serdar is a great professor, he explains things very clearly and makes sure that everyone understands the content. This class is pretty conceptually challenging so it is up to you to make an effort to participate and learn, but he explains Finance better than any other professor I have had.FINA3301 2024-12-03 20:49:09 +0000 UTC
Worst professor I've ever taken in my life. So hard to understand and skips around questions. Gives no insights on what to expect for exams & some questions aren't anything near what we learned in class. If you ask him a question he is super unclear on purpose. Only lets you review exams for one class period. He has to scale because everyone fails.FINA2201 2025-09-09 15:34:35 +0000 UTC
Class can be boring at times because it's pretty much all lectures, but he's a great professor. He does a great job explaining the material. I learned a lot. Grade is split up into two case studies, two problem sets, midterm, final, and participation. Midterm is 20% of the grade and final is 35%. Case study and problem sets are group work.FINA3301 2024-11-22 16:26:33 +0000 UTC
I really liked the professor, he was great at explaining the concepts and kept it simple and easy to understand. I would take this professor for sure again if he teaches another class.FINA2201 2025-06-30 03:11:26 +0000 UTC
Professor Aldatmaz was the best Finance professor I have had so far. I wish that I had gone to class more, provides real value, breaks down the concepts so well. He curves really well too, he curves it in a way that the median grade in the class is a b+. Homeworks every week but really doable. highly reccomend taking him for financial managementFINA2201 2025-04-25 05:27:53 +0000 UTC
This is my professor at Northeastern. Honestly, the material isn't that difficult, the average is 60 percent because people don't attend class and then blame the professor. He goes over a lot of practice problems in class, and they're often harder than the questions on the actual exams. If you understand those, you'll have no trouble on the test.FINA2201 2025-04-16 21:39:41 +0000 UTC
LOVE this professor. Hes so helpful and caring. He genuinely cares about his students and is great at explaining the concepts. The exams are very fair and he does teach everything on the exam, anyone that says they are hard clearly doesnt go to class. One thing I will say is that if you miss class you will fall behind.FINA2201 2025-04-15 21:04:37 +0000 UTC
Grades harshly even though he says he doesn't, comes off passive aggressive at times (even when answering students' questions), doesn't allow multiple chances or corrections on HW (even tho the q's are completely different than what he has on his slides), and got mad when the class had a 60% average on BOTH midterms (obvi his fault not ours).FINA2201 2025-04-14 22:22:32 +0000 UTC
Although his exams are tough he is doing curve. He express material perfectly, giving real life examples all the time. If you're planning to work on finance area you need to take a class from him!FINA2201 2025-01-16 21:31:33 +0000 UTC
He is very kind and does a good job of explaining the material. He is happy to go over homework/practice problems. His tests are incredibly difficult (although he will tell you they are very easy). Very heavy on difficult multiple choice questions.FINA2201 2025-01-09 22:38:58 +0000 UTC
