Professor Marple is an extraordinary educator. Incredibly dedicated to his students, he readily made the time after class to explain concepts and advise on career paths. If a student expects to be walked through the material, he/she will be disappointed as he holds high standards on his exams and papers. As some other comments, if you come to this class to learn formulas, then you may be disappointed. This is an MBA course, so I find that all the discussions were interesting & relevant to my work. One of the BEST Finance Professors in the US! Students often complain about him not using the text book too much or that he talks about financial markets too much...but excuse me...you are in a GRADUATE LEVEL PROGRAM (MBA)...and you should read the books yourself! This is the worst professor I have ever taken a class with. He has absolutely no interest in teaching and simply talks about the news or random things he wants to talk about. He expects you to learn it from the book and deal only the TA's when you have problems. Why did I bother paying for this then?
