Tong is an okay professor. Your grade is based almost completely on the 2 tests you take in the class, which is hard to do well if you're not a great test taker. The lectures can be boring, but he does a lot of real-world application practice, which was very interesting. Incredibly caring and understanding professor who's clearly knowledgeable of the course material and is able to communicate concepts effectively. First test average was around a 70 but was curved. Tong was well organized and provided clear expectations throughout the course. The course was test heavy, with average scores were in the low 70s. At the end of the course he added a generous curve which pushed everyone's cumulative grades up by roughly 5 points. Guy is super caring. Sometimes lectures can be hard to follow, but he clearly cares highly about his students and is well versed in all different kinds of financial fields. He is pretty nice as a professor. The way he teaches didn't work too well for me because it was monotone and lecture-based, but self-studying for a bit before exams and doing the homework worked out pretty well.
