He was not the best at teaching during lectures and sometimes got lost in his own lecture but he overall understands really well the topics, and his office hours are very helpful. Just go to class, study and his insane bumps on tests will save you.FINA2201 2026-01-08 20:24:50 +0000 UTC
The lectures may as well be melatonin. Also can't keep a slide up for more than 30 seconds when you're trying to take notes.FINA3301 2019-09-24 13:30:28 +0000 UTC
Awful Professor please don't take him if you're a finance major. I wanted to love this class so bad but this professor made me hate the content we were learning. Tests are so random and we don't learn have the stuff on the exam in class. Honestly good luck if you take him.FIN3301 2018-11-06 08:41:37 +0000 UTC
Great lectures and caring professor. Furthermore, he is very accessible in office hours and always seemed willing to help. However, exams are very difficult and are worth most of your grade which makes it very tough to get a desired grade.FINA2201 2025-12-24 22:12:21 +0000 UTC
I would choose him for my future finance class if any chances. He's always welling to answer the questions you have. Assignments are not quite heavy but you need to pay careful attention on the group cases he assigned. Slides from him contain almost everything about this class, and the test would be easy if you go through the slides carefully.FINA3301 2019-01-22 22:43:46 +0000 UTC
Unclear instructions & disorganized in his teachings, had put final questions on our midterm on accident. Average for midterm and final were 40-50s. Would inform students contents of midterm and final last minute. Grading was unclear takes the top % of students to get an A. I do not recommend, take a different professor and save the stress.FINA2201 2025-12-12 12:49:16 +0000 UTC
One of the most boring lecturer I've ever seen. Attendance is not mandatory and I'm pretty sure you would learn better by going through the class PowerPoint by yourself than listening to himFINA3301 2018-10-01 22:59:10 +0000 UTC
Professor KC is super kind and clearly cares about his students, but I found his lectures to be very dry and the tests were extremely difficult (40s-50s average). He curved, but not until the end and not knowing my grade all semester definitely added unnecessary stress.FINA2201 2025-12-12 03:00:45 +0000 UTC
Professor KC was a decent instructor who provided helpful support during office hours. However, there was a significant disconnect between the coursework and exams. The midterm and final were considerably more difficult than the homework assignments. The class averages for both exams hovered around 40-50%, but the curves your final grade.FINA2201 2025-12-11 20:29:58 +0000 UTC
Would definitely take him again! He wants his students to do well and is easy to reach for additional help or clarifying questions. The in-class examples were very helpful for understanding the topics, and re-doing the homeworks will prepare you well for the exams (which will probably be curved!).FINA2201 2025-12-10 05:55:53 +0000 UTC
Friendly but lectures impossible to follow. Practice problems in class go at lightning speed. I'd find myself struggling to understand what's going on, only for him to tell us that this won't be on the exams but is just "useful to know". Most of the HWs were solved with excel, but excel isnt allowed on the midterm/final. Test averages were in 50s.FINA2201 2025-12-10 05:26:32 +0000 UTC
Please go to his office hours! He is so helpful and kind. Very hard midterms and finals so be prepared. If you go to lectures you will be fine as he covers the content needed in exams. One of my favourite professors at northeastern. Extremely knowledgeable in finance (he has a PHD!!). Would love to take one of his classes again.FINA2201 2025-12-10 03:34:49 +0000 UTC
Don't take! Lectures don't prepare you for exams, so expect to self-teach everything. The midterm exam was unreasonably difficult with severe time pressure and difficult content that was skimmed over in class. Professor justified this to mimic "real-world finance" (?). He's accessible in office hours, but that doesn't make up for poor instruction.FINA2201 2025-12-08 19:46:14 +0000 UTC
I'm awful at finance so I did horribly on the midterm and expect the same for the final. The tests are all credit or none at all for each question, which makes it super hard to do well if finance isn't your strength. HOWEVER...KC is so kind. He is willing to help with every question you have, is accessible and definitely wants you to understand.FINA2201 2025-12-06 01:04:37 +0000 UTC
Exams are filled with questions that require more efforts to solve with one or two easy straightforward questions. They were def. hard and avg were extremely low in the 40s, but there will be pretty big curves (at the end of the semester tho - so it is hard to see what your grade will be until the finals are over). Requires McGraw for HW 3 attemptsFINA2201 2023-07-26 21:00:53 +0000 UTC
