Professor Clark is a tough grader, expects a lot, requires students to be prepared and participate in class. If you do the work and participate then you will be fine. If you don't then this is not the class for you. I learned so much from this man and his class and I can't be more thankful for Professor Clark.MKTG216 2025-12-28 14:19:21 +0000 UTC
Professor Clark was extremely bias toward the favorites, and his grading rubric was more on the subjective side of things. You really do struggle to realize what you learn throughout the semester, for he simply yaps about past case studies in discussions. The group project seemed straightforward, but his expectations for it are impossible.MKTG3301 2024-12-22 20:12:17 +0000 UTC
Professor Clark is a fantastic man. His lectures are interesting, fun and engaging. He is extremely considerate of students. I wasn't able to contribute much at the beginning of the semester and he gave me many opportunities to catch up. Assignments are manageable and relevant. He's one of those professors that makes you glad you took the course!MARKETING 2024-04-20 07:08:41 +0000 UTC
Definitely a bit of a tough grader, he can tell if you haven't done all of the reading and are just spitting out a boilerplate nonsense answer. He gives plenty of examples and is always open to answering questions. He tries to bring in his own real world experience and asks for others' experiences as well. Really enthusiastic and engaging!MKTGRAD 2022-03-08 23:13:26 +0000 UTC
Prof Clark is one of the best profs at Northeastern. His teaching is straight forward and clear. He emphasizes practical examples and numerics in marketing. His experience shows in his style.TAKE THE COURSE. The cases are great however the text book wasn't as useful. I still kept it cos it was Kotler. Cant give that away!MKTMKT 2008-03-11 21:46:35 +0000 UTC
Having graduated 8 years ago and now with the benefit of hindsight, Prof. Clark was hands down the best teacher I had at Northeastern. His undergrad strategy class was likely the most useful class I took, and he made the subject fun and the classes interactive. Excellence all around, I would encourage all UGs to take a course with Prof. Clark.MKTSTRA 2008-01-08 17:52:14 +0000 UTC
I completely agree with the prior review. He has been the best prof. I have had so far at NU. His class is definitely challenging, but he helps you every step of the way. If all of the profs at NU were as good as him, it would be the best school in the USMKTMGT 2004-07-26 01:16:21 +0000 UTC
One of the best professors i ve ever had. His expectations are clear, he values contribution, all marketing topics are approached through cases and this guy knows tons of Marketing. You ll learn a lot and you will appreciate his effective teaching.MKTU301 2004-05-31 23:09:14 +0000 UTC
Professor Clark is a great professor- very enthusiastic and witty. He's clear on what he expects and how you should do it, and he'll keep class interesting. However, be forewarned: he gives a lot of work (papers, cases, and group project simulation due every class), and will always keep you until the very last minute of class time.MKTG216 2009-06-16 12:57:37 +0000 UTC
This professor is knowledgeable about what he teaches. But besides that, he is someone I would avoid. He has favorites, and you will have a very tough time in his class if you aren't one. He gives vague instructions and no examples but expects almost perfection when turning in your work. He will take off many points for length, format, etc.MKTG3301 2024-12-02 20:26:27 +0000 UTC
Needs to take it down a notch. Be ready to read and have an unhealthy amount of work.MARKETING 2015-02-12 10:24:26 +0000 UTC
Excellent professor. Well prepared. Tough but goes into depth and makes you really think about each case study. Smart, extremely nice, and professional.MKTGRAD 2006-07-18 21:15:02 +0000 UTC
Professor Clark is one of the best professors I had in the MBA program. His class lectures were interesting, his credentals outstanding, and his knowledge and experience in the field really show through his teachings. He treated everyone well and he seemed genuinly interested in everything all of us had to say.MKTG216 2005-12-24 19:50:54 +0000 UTC
He is very knowledgable and aids discussions way beyond marketing. His rubrics and syllabus are very clear and organized. This class is lecture heavy and he is a bit of a harsh grader but he is great. I truly learned from him.MKTG3301 2024-11-22 02:45:59 +0000 UTC
I was not fluent in English. He had a question sheet for every case. As long as the questions are prepared before class, I can read them out in class. Even though I didn't answer many questions, it helped me get out of my comfort zone. I feel that I have been effectively helped.MKTG3301 2024-11-21 23:19:07 +0000 UTC
