At the beginning of the semester, her guidelines seem clearly set and she is an overall interesting person. However, her grading criteria is out of this world. You can follow her rubrics step by step and somehow you will still not receive full marks. Instead of being helpful she is slightly judgemental. She's the worst professor I have ever had at Northeastern. Her grading system is trash. Even if you do everything properly, read the material prepare for tests, be ready to see new questions at test. She is a vvvvvery tough grader, she gave very very very low grades for project and presentations without specific reasons. She just like to say:"it should be deeper", or "it needs more critical thinking", then gave a low grade. Prof makes the class interessting and uses lots of differnt media. Includes also very up-to-date topics. Very enthusiastic. Tests are only difficult concerning time management - you only get a good grade if you have a quick handwriting. So grading system could be better but all in all nice course. The class is super easy in terms of course material. The tests are an easy A because the material isn't that hard which is why it sucks that she likes to make it hard for no reason. She reduced the original weight of one of the tests ONLY because "everyone did well on it" (her words). Took this class last semester - if you want to actually learn content (vs. read a textbook and hear the same info in class) take it with another Prof - dont let the nice facade fool you. Professor Yule's advertising class was awesome and I would definitely take a course taught by her again. She is an interesting lecturer and breaks up the class with activities and discussions. I'm looking forward to take this class since I was a sophomore, but now, so disappointed!! The class content is interesting, but the professor is AWFUL!!! She is grading in a ridiculous way! Actually the course is easy and it should be interesting, but I do not why she always try to make it get so hard! She is a very subjective and hard grader. You have to write the opinions that she likes, if you write your actually opinions and which is opposite with her, oh sorry, you will get a LOW LOW LOW grade!
