Straight lectures. Main downside is harsh grading. Lots of mini assignments, but they're all never 100s, they always get tacked off just because she doesn't want to give 100's. 2 midterms, both take-home. Teaches very well and explains concepts clearly. Strong lecturer, especially for an intro class. Main downside is harsh grading from both her and the TA, which she acknowledges and seems to prefer. The professor deeply cares about student learning, is very organized and accommodating, and responds to emails quickly. The class had only about two open-note/open-internet quizzes and an open-book final, plus one fairly graded final group presentation. Very accommodating professor. Cares a lot about what she teaches & puts a lot into making lectures engaging. The group project is pretty fun too honestly. She also values merit & will make adjustments if you tell her about having a bad group for the project.
