He is very fun and cares about his students. He makes such an effort to be funny and engaging during lectures, and the assignments are mostly pretty manageable (the 2 case studies kind of suck though). I loved this class and the professor. He is so funny and entertaining. Two assignments were a little hard but not too bad, and no exams which was nice. Prof Weaver was hilarious and created a great environment for his classes. However I can't say I learned a lot about marketing management this semester. His class is entirely case studies which was frustrating and tedious. It was a very enjoyable class, and I recommend you take Ray! Amazing professor with a great sense of humor. Facilitates interesting discussions about cases during class. However the only assignments you're graded on are a quantitative analysis project, two case reports, a presentation, the marketing plan project, and participation. I always looked forward to coming to MKTG3301! The course was fully discussion based, and Ray knew how to facilitate discussions well and created a safe environment to share ideas. The syllabus and canvas were well organized so it was easy to know what was due. Professor Weaver truly cares about his students and tries to help everyone succeed. His class is pretty much based on a semester-long group project and case studies/reports. Ray engraves personal fun facts into each lecture class to make things more interesting, otherwise, we discuss relatively interesting case studies. He is lenient about deadlines if you bring them up in class and everyone has an issue he will do his best to help. It's apparent he cares about his students.
