I was hesitant to take this course because of the other ratings but honestly not sure why they're so bad. Professor is super chill, flexible, and class is easy. I had to miss several classes and needed extensions and not once did she deny any requests. She's one of the most laid back professors I've had and my peers all agreed.HSCI2500 2024-12-12 02:02:22 +0000 UTC
Worst prof ever. Extremely unresponsive, gives awful and vague feedback when any questions are asked. Tests are fairly easy, but they are based on the most boring and lengthy (60+ slideshows) so you will end up studying way more than you need. Very naive to eating disorders for a nutrition professor. almost fell asleep every class. DO NOT TAKE!HSCI1105 2021-12-17 00:00:35 +0000 UTC
D1 yapper. Class is boring and dragged out. Literally went back and knocked my grade down on an assignment after already grading it. Would take away points for things that were not in the directions or rubric.HSCI2500 2024-09-09 01:18:28 +0000 UTC
This professor doesnt want her students to succeed. Whenever we have a question about an upcoming exam or quiz, we get an unwelcoming response with an attitude. The 60+ slides that we are given every class are exhausting and do not encourage us to learn the material in any way. An unnecessary participation grade is given at the end of the class.HSCI1105 2021-12-02 03:19:10 +0000 UTC
Long and boring lectures. The service learning part was cool, although she and her TA are quite disorganized in communicating with the organizations. She draws out the duration of class with awkward pauses and unnecessary small talk, provides very little exam preparation, and reads directly from powerpoint decks.HSCI2500 2023-04-05 17:57:21 +0000 UTC
Prof Janisch's lectures are extremely boring. Participation is mandatory and worth a small percentage of your grade. Whenever a student asks questions about an upcoming exam she does not answer constructively. Another red flag is that she comes into class everyday with a bright construction vest on and her bike. She lowk gives all her students ED'sHSCI1105 2021-12-02 02:48:08 +0000 UTC
Boring class, lots of lectures. Not as engaging as potential there is for the class. Exams are very nit-picky and need lots of studying!HSCI2500 2022-10-25 17:03:22 +0000 UTC
Professor Janisch makes lengthy and wordy powerpoints, reading directly off the slides making the class feel long and boring. For exams, she offers little to no help in helping you to prepare. When you ask her what exactly we should know for the test or if there will be review questions she says no making you study things you probably don't need.HSCI1105 2021-10-20 15:48:36 +0000 UTC
I really enjoyed this class. I went in not knowing it was service learning but had to take it and really liked it. Prof Janisch is super knowledgeable about nutrition, very passionate, and quizzes are very straightforward. Overall great prof and class!!HSCI2500 2022-01-21 02:56:19 +0000 UTC
