This class was taken in Spring 2022. Lecture slides were made by someone else, but the professor didn't put an effort to even read them before presenting. He just read them in class and he was not great at explaining in detail. Piazza replies were very slow, took at least 2-3 days to reply. Hardly got any email replies as well.DS5220 2022-12-08 05:25:45 +0000 UTC
He is a decent professor. Slides were prepared by others, but he explained the slides really well. He teaches derivations, but he avoids going too deep into confusing concepts like neural networks. As per grading, he provided an extra credit assignment worth 10 points, which was a great grade booster.DS5220 2022-05-17 00:30:26 +0000 UTC
